Admission Guidelines

We appreciate your interest in the Environmental Resources & Policy PhD program. The Environmental Resources & Policy program features concentrations in Water Resources; Energy and Mineral Resources; Forestry; Agricultural and Rural Land Resources; Environmental Policy and Administration; and GIS and Environmental Modeling. It is administered by the Graduate School with the cooperation of the Geography and Geology departments and the College of Agriculture. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores are required for admission to the program and for assistantships. Assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis. Please submit all application materials by January 15th to be considered for fall assistantships and October 1st for spring assistantships. Please apply to the graduate school on-line at http://www.siu.edu/gradschl/. The graduate school website also provides information about financial assistance, admissions, and important dates.
